CKC and Young Hero Collaborate on Jägermeister's Lesbian Bar Project in the Metaverse

In an innovative initiative that combines technology, community engagement, and cultural preservation, CKC has partnered with Young Hero and Jägermeister to support the Lesbian Bar Project. This collaboration aims to raise awareness and prosperity for America’s remaining lesbian bars through a unique three-city bar tour and a groundbreaking metaverse experience.

The Lesbian Bar Project highlights a concerning statistic: in the 1980s, there were approximately 200 lesbian bars in the U.S.; today, only 24 remain. To combat this decline, Jägermeister teamed up with the Lesbian Bar Project to celebrate the October premiere of “The Lesbian Bar Project,” a streaming series inspired by the 2021 documentary of the same name available on The Roku Channel. For those unable to attend in person, Jägermeister created what it bills as the first-ever safe space in the metaverse. Hosted in Decentraland, this virtual lesbian bar allows users to enter with their avatars, play games to collect NFT wearables, and visit a digital version of the Lesbian Bar Project Museum featuring photos lining the walls of the virtual environment.During specific periods in October, visitors could enjoy curated artist performances and meetups within this space. Additionally, attendees could enter a sweepstakes for a chance to fly to New York for dinner with filmmakers Erica Rose and Elina Street, as well as executive producer Lea DeLaria.

Innovative E-commerce Integration

Jägermeister’s initiative also introduced an innovative e-commerce opportunity within the metaverse. Users could purchase limited-edition Mini Meisters products featuring exclusive bottle labels that highlighted each city where the docuseries was filmed.
